The Abbeville County Director serves as the Chief Administrative Officer for the County. The Director is hired by Abbeville County Council and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of County Government, to include executing the policies, directives, and legislative actions of the County Council. The Director also coordinates operational agencies and administrative activities of the county government while developing and implementing administrative policies for the government operations. The Director supervises all appointed positions and works closely with the elected officials of the county. Responsibilities also include the supervision of all appropriated fund expenditures and preparing the annual operating and capital improvement budgets for submission to County Council.
